Wine Affair Cascais, one of the most popular tasting events on the Portuguese Atlantic coast, returns to the Sheraton Cascais Resort on 19 September 2026. The event brings together producers from across Portugal’s wine regions — Alentejo, Douro, Minho, Setúbal, and Algarve among them — for a single-afternoon showcase of around 200 wines.
What to Expect
Tastings are guided rather than free-pour, with participating wineries presenting their portfolios to visitors in a structured format. Entry tickets typically include a branded glass and a set number of tasting tokens. Premium tickets usually add access to reserve and magnum selections not available on the general floor.
The Sheraton Cascais setting — a five-star resort a short walk from Cascais town centre and the seafront — provides an elegant backdrop, with the event running through the afternoon into early evening. Food pairings, cheeseboards, and petiscos (Portuguese small plates) are served alongside the wine.

Getting to Cascais for the Event
Cascais is straightforward to reach from Lisbon. The Comboios de Portugal Cascais Line runs direct trains from Cais do Sodré station in central Lisbon roughly every 20–30 minutes; the journey takes around 40 minutes and costs approximately €2.40 each way with a Viva Viagem card.
From Cascais station, the Sheraton is roughly a 15-minute walk along the seafront, or a short taxi ride. Driving and parking in central Cascais on a weekend evening in September can be challenging — the train is the more practical option.
