Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) sits 7km north of central Lisbon — a short journey by any transport mode. The metro is the best-value option for central arrivals; taxis and private transfers make more sense for large groups, late arrivals, or hotels without easy metro access.

Metro — Cheapest Route Into the City

The Red Line metro station is inside the terminal, accessible from both the Arrivals hall and the lower level without leaving the building. It runs from 06:30 to 01:00 daily.

• Cost: approximately €1.85 for a single ticket or €0.54 per trip with a pre-loaded Viva Viagem card (as of 2026)
• Journey time: 25 minutes to Baixa-Chiado, 20 minutes to Marquês de Pombal

Licensed taxis queue outside the Arrivals exit — look for the cream and green vehicles. There is no need to pre-book.

Uber, Bolt, and Free Now operate freely at Lisbon Airport. Rideshare pick-up is from the designated zone outside arrivals — follow the rideshare signage.
